We have been looking forward to the start of school and football; hopefully you are just as excited as we are.  Our first practice will be the held on Monday, August 21 from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. Athletes are expected to be picked up by 6:15pm.

It is important you are cleared as soon as possible as the Vancouver School District is now clearing athletes THROUGH AN ONLINE PROCESS ONLY. Any questions about athletic clearance can also be addressed in the McLoughlin main office. PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE UNTIL THEY ARE CLEARED AND HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL.  The office opens August 3rd, 8:00am – 3:00pm. The Athlete Physical Form can be accessed via https://vansd.org/athletics-activities/ as well as information on free sports physicals.  Please get cleared right away because we have a lot to learn and each player has to complete a minimum of 10 practices before they are eligible to play in a game.

7th graders generally practice in shorts, t-shirt and cleats. The 8th grade team will also practice in shorts and helmets for the first three days. All tackle football equipment is provided except for a pair of football cleats. All athletes will get one mouthpiece. If lost, additional mouthpieces can be purchased in the business office for $1.00.

For those students who have never played organized football, McLoughlin Pioneer Football is the perfect place to start. There are no “cuts” and everyone who comes to practice and works hard will get to play in the games as long as they are academically eligible. Come learn the fundamentals of football, have fun with teammates and continue to build upon the tradition of excellence at MAC!

August 26 (Free Clinic of SW Washington –call for appointment) at 12:00pm.
