Highly Capable services
Highly Capable services provide instruction, activities and services that accelerate learning and offer a unique academic challenge for students who have been identified as highly capable.
Students in grades six through eight attend their neighborhood middle school and take Honors-level English/language arts courses that incorporate Pre-Advanced Placement and Pre-Baccalaureate instructional strategies. Students who meet placement criteria may take advanced and accelerated math courses and have opportunities to begin earning high school credits in math, world languages and science.
Note: Once they are enrolled in high school, students who earned high school credits while in middle school will need to apply to carry forward those credits.
